Anyone have their dress lined?? My dress is illusion lace on the entire top. I loved it but wasn’t going to get it because I am larger chested and an older bride. Anyone have their dress lined?? My dress is illusion lace on the entire top. I loved it but wasn’t going to get it because I am larger chested and an older bride. I was uncomfortable with the cups it came with only covering 1/2 of my boobs. I was told by the stylist at dress appointment last year that they could add larger cups to lift, cover and separate and all would be well. I went to my fitting today and was still not pleased with the amount of boob showing even with the larger cups offered to me. I am 25 days away from my wedding so my only option is to have it lined. I don’t have time to order lace or anything else. I know it changes it into a completely different dress. I am not blind. It’s just that for the last year I envisioned it one way and now I have to come to terms with the new way. I do not hate it but again it’s a lot to accept that it’s completely different now.

I could just use some positive words that it still look good lined. That I don’t need to run out and buy something off the rack to replace it. Keep in mind this is a mock up liner, a rough draft with a piece of scrap fabric that is pinned and a bit crooked. The actually liner will be more fitted, straight and in more of a sweetheart style with a tiny bit of a “V” plunge. I will be keeping the sleeves, sides, top and back of dress unlined.
Thank you ladies! Just feeling a bit misled and need some support. 💖
Please don’t say to keep it the original way. I am not comfortable doing so.

Thank you ALL for your kind words! I made another appointment for tomorrow to go back in and talk to them, I'm sure they think I am crazy! Lol. Im going to ask for the lining to be lower on the top and for the V to be a bit wider and deeper so I can still feel sexy and have some of what I envisioned but also be comfortable and not have my boobs hanging out all over. Fingers crossed that I leave more satisfied and less overwhelmed.

LADIES!! I had my appointment today to go over the changes. I think I love it!!!! We lowered to sweetheart and the V and took the lining out on top so it’s still illusion. We also added lace appliqué to the front where it was missing before. Keep in mind it’s still pinned and a mock up so it’s a bit uneven. I can’t wait to see the finished product. I feel it still lets me be sexy but not hanging out where I was very uncomfortable.

The only thing that I still am wanting is possibly the mesh netting removed in my chest. It’s all bunched up and the white thread on it drives me crazy!!! Seamstress said that when I come back and everything is done to see how I feel about it. If I still don’t like it she can cut it off BUT it can’t be put back on so I need to be sure. Lol. So I am still contemplating what to do. She said I can buy clear double sided tape and that way it will lay nicer for me but I’m still not sure especially with that white thread there.
First three photos from the changes made today and then the last two I used an editing app to erases the mesh (the eraser also erased my skin color so try to envision my skin not two colors lol). Thoughts on mesh or no mesh??

Thanks again ladies for all your support! ♥️

I think it looks so good! I'm team no mesh but definitely wait to decide since there's no "take backs" 🥰

(I think I replied to one person instead of the group so let’s try this again! Lol.)
