I found a dress and when I got my measurements, the consultant said my top fits a size 0 and my hips a size 10. She suggested I order a size 8 dress and alter from there. It seems like they'll have to take in the top portion a ton in order to fit properly. How much have you paid in alterations? I...

I paid 395 for little taking in on top couple of inches taken off rhe bottom and 7 point bustle

Im in MA and they charge me $275 for hemming the dress (It's all lace and have a border that need to get removed and then attached) and attaching the belt...I was in shock when they told me how much it was!!!

EM- If you don't mind my asking where did you go, or if you can't say where roughly is it ( so I can make an educated guess). I just got back from a place in Alameda that quoted me $200 for bustle $150 for some darting $180 to add a little lace in the cleavage (like 1") and $400 for the hem ! I left thinking I didn't like my dress that much and now am thinking of getting another dress
