This is kind of a rant but also to see if anyone else has felt this way. My mom is planning my wedding and we got a big fight yesterday. The reason is so irrelevant. And shes a beautician so she also does my hair. I had told her a couple weeks ago that i wanted highlights and layers added to my hair(cause I've been doing this natural look for sometime now) and want to stand out at wedding day. Well the biggest problem right now is after we got in the fight she made a smart comment about how i will regret changing my hair and that she pretty much won't do it. This has just put such a damper on things and now she won't even speak to me. And the wedding is in 4 days, and without her speaking to me we can't ensure everything is done that needs to be.Now i can't help but just want this to be all over with. And even before all of this happened i never had a burst of excitement for this wedding. Has anybody else been through something similar or dreaded their wedding for another reason?

To be honest it is a huge risk to change your hair so closely to the wedding.

I think maybe you and your mom might need to spend more time apart in general.

Also, just get your hair done somewhere else.

Well, this is what happens when you let someone else pay for and plan your wedding. It's also what happens when you use friends/family as wedding vendors. A paid, non-related pro would never tell you you can't dye your hair.

Hopefully some sleep has given you some clarity. Your relationship with your mom is so much more important than your wedding, but allowing her this much control may damage that relationship

On a side note, why tf would you dye your hair a few days before your wedding? Seems like a huge risk that should've been tried months ago. If you do hate it for any reason, there's no time to fix it without totally ruining your hair

@MrsSki Im sorry, not every body can afford a professsional wedding planner. Like i stated above, i'm not paying for any of this. My mom was generous enoigh to pay for it and do it all and up until this point nothing has gone wrong and i hadn't been stressed once because i knew she had everything covered. And i didnt come here to ask if i should make my hair look nicer(which is what i would be doing). I had plans to do my hair like this because i have had it like this before and iknow it looks good. I'm not affraid of it going wrong. And if so, it cant look worse than it does now. So thank you for the un-asked for opinion.
