99 days to go! Tonight we did a to go cake tasting and oddly the combo we decided I would've never thought. 99 days to go! Tonight we did a to go cake tasting and oddly the combo we decided I would've never thought. We're going with one layer chocolate, one layer strawberry with a strawberry filling with chopped fresh strawberry. Sadly we didn't love the white or yellow cream cake enough to do a half and half tier to represent our interracial relationship but as he says the white butter cream will wrap everything together lol. cfb_1415265.jpg

    Yup we are September 5th!

    We got buttercream frosting with white cake with guava and cream cheese filling. I showed them a pic from Pinterest and they are going to replicate it! Double digits and cake decision 1

    Oh that's cool. I know we're doing semi naked. I would like some flowers. Just gotta see how much the up charge will be for the strawberry cake and filling. Hope not too much. FH was thinking some fruit for decision which isn't a bad idea.

    Nope. I wanna splurge on the specialty flavors since my fh was equally excited about it if not more. May skimp on decoration if needed lol. Congrats and good luck final month of planning.

    LOL Small world. Well not sure if you did you cake tasting yet but it was awesome and I am glad we chose them (well I chose them he just wants cake lol) and I am excited for the day of. Smiley laugh

    We haven’t done ours yet! They’re actually the bakery our venue uses so they’re scheduling a day for us to do wedding design and cake tasting! Can’t wait!

    My consultant was nice and answered all my questions. My fiance could not make it which sucks because then I guess there I could have asked for pricing because the flavors we like will have an upcharge. Although it was fun doing it at home while watching TV. The yellow cream and white cake were not bad but weren't moist for our taste. They were ok but that is my perspective on most vanilla and white cakes anyhow lol. But try as many as possible. You'll like them.

    We do our cake tasting this weekend, but I am most excited to try the strawberry cake with strawberry filling so I am glad to hear you liked it.

    Oh that is exciting! Good luck and keep us posted. I wouldv'e never though strawberry cake, I just chose it as we got to try up to 6 cake flavors and for both of us that was a close second behind chocolate. We love chocolate cake anyways lol. I figured if the upcharge is too much we can do that for one of the tiers as well and something cheaper for the other tier lol.
