Does anyone else feel that they don't want bridesmaids? My FH wants groomsmen (about 4) because he has grown up with a close group of guys since childhood. I only have a handful of semi-close girlfriends and they are scattered throughout the country and don't know each other at all. I also feel like...

Does anyone else feel that they don't want bridesmaids? My FH wants groomsmen (about 4) because he has grown up with a close group of guys since childhood. I only have a handful of semi-close girlfriends and they are scattered throughout the country and don't know each other at all. I also feel like all the traditions that go along with having a wedding party (i.e. bachelor/bachelorette parties) are so cheesy and unnecessary. Im not having a bridal shower. In addition, having a bridal party is expensive. Not sure what to think and have to make decisions soon. Thoughts?

    You could skip the BP and have his four friends help escort guests to their seats! It's a common GM job and they can still do the bachelor party for him if they'd like, but then you don't have an group of guys standing up front with you without any BM

    I'm not doing any of that wedding stuff (bridal party, showers, bachs, etc.). He can have groomsmen, the parties don't need to be equal.
