Don’t choose David’s Bridal.

Jennymarie, on August 9, 2021 at 4:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20
David’s Bridal not only lied to me about my dress but is making jump through hoops to even talk to someone to get this situation fixed. Save yourself and don’t go to them for dresses.

Details? They've always been on my "NO" list, but what made you upset with them?

Really? What happened? I got my dress there and had absolutely no problems, I actually enjoyed them. I got my alterations done there as well.

The sales representative lied to me about the specific dress I wanted. Told me it was discontinued and on sale and would be staying at said price. It has now dropped in price and they are saying there is nothing they can do about it. I have tried talking to their customer support about this at least 5 times in the last 24 hours and their support staff is not responsive. The text line doesn’t address the situation in a timely manner and doesn’t give the customer time to reply. The phone line is too busy and tells you to text.

A bridal shop isn't Target or Best Buy. They don't have a price match window. I can't work up any anger for them not refunding you the difference.

It sucks, yes, but they don't owe you a refund because the price dropped, the sales associate doesn't determine prices and maybe shouldn't have spoken on it, but it's out of her control. If it was already on clearance be glad you got a deal, even if it's not as good of a deal you would have gotten. If you wait for a dress to drop to your desired price you run the risk of them running out of it after it's discontinued, or you running out of time to get it.

I agree. It does sound like it really sucks, but it isn't enough of a reason to warn everyone to stay away.

In an addition you already don’t want to shop there so I don’t get why you are replying the way you are. This is my opinion and if you don’t like what I have to say you are more than welcome to ignore it

Sweetie, you posted on a public board, we're allowed to respond and I don't have to respond the way you want me to. If you want agreement no matter what you should vent to friends IRL. I understand planning a wedding is a stressful time and you need to save money where you can, but DB doesn't owe you anything because you bought when you did.

    1) please don’t call me sweetie. I have a bad connection to that word. 2) I’m not upset that you disagree with me. I’m just forewarning those that may still need a dress that David’s bridal customer service via the customer support staff is awful

But it's not bad customer service IMO, which I'm still allowed to have in the USA. You supposedly took the word of the sales clerk who was just trying to earn her commission for the month, that's on you. Yay for you if you get through and get some money back, but it's no reason to smear DB.

I got my cheap reception dress from them and noticed the price dropped online literally the next day. They refunded me the difference without issue. Can you try going to a different branch or something? They made it seem like that was their policy in that situation.

I got my dress there and had absolutely no issues. I nor anyone I know never had issues with them. Maybe it's just a bad branch.

They are all very hit or miss because of the people working in them and how they're run. I got my dress from David's Bridal with absolutely no issues at all and had a very positive experience. I've also had friends who felt the same way. But I know people who had a terrible experience with them.

I’m so sorry that happened to you!! I agree that there customer service sucks!! I was fat shamed while trying to find my dress (and then bought it off of poshmark because I didn’t want to give them my money) and complained and nothing happened and it took me a week to finally get ahold of someone to complain, and I went back for my mom to find her dress WITH an appointment on a Thursday when no one would be there and we had 2 different consultants in 5 minutes each pulled 2 dresses and then the rest of the appointment I was running around trying to find her a dress while they and the store manager watched me. It was ridiculous and I will never ever recommend them to anyone ever!!
