As the title says are dollar dances tacky and rude or are they expected? My first impression is tacky and rude so I was dead set on not doing one. Haven't seen one done in 10 years. I've catered weddings for 7 years and never saw it (maybe I was busy working and just missed it) I have been told that...

I've catered weddings for 7 years and never saw it (maybe I was busy working and just missed it) I have been told that I absolutely have to do it that people will be expecting it and it will help me make extra money for my honeymoon. To me that's just rude. Asking your guests to pay to dance with you. I'd rather come up with my own spending money and dance with my guests for free. I've been asked to reconsider that it would be a fun money maker. If it isnt rude and tacky to do this then why would a cash registry be rude?

I had never even heard of this until I joined WW and came on the forums...I'd never consider doing one...I don't like dancing as it is let alone having to dance with every random person at my wedding because they paid to do it...

@Samtoine2017 - I actually told them I didn't want to do it and they did it anyways. It wasn't really a choice. What would you have suggested? Fighting off 100 family members with a bat immediately after joining their family? Yes, I was one of "these brides" when I was 19 years old and it was 1999! Maybe I should be placed in isolation so I don't infect the rest of you!? Lol! Sorry, but that sounded ridiculous!
