We are having our wedding at my moms house and she has two dogs, we were going to have them wear bow ties and also my cat is going to be there with a suit on, I figured they would prob be away from the ceremony but during the reception they will be out and about with everyone. I don't think it's going to be a problem since we know how the dogs act, so I guess as long as you know the dogs won't go crazy or jump on people/ the cake then it shouldn't be a problem!

We are bringing our dog because we'll be gone for 8 days for our out-of-state wedding at family's house. We are staying in a an airbnb for two of the nights and I already got him approved by the owners there. He is in training as a psychiatric service dog so he's pretty well behaved and well trained. He isn't perfect but definitely easier to manage than a toddler or even some of our adult relatives!

eta: To clarify, he isn't in the wedding, he is attending as a guest.

@TacoCat my youngest pup is a total "wiggle butt"!

Since we're having the ceremony at home, one of the many perks is our pups get to be there (cue the bowtie collars!). When we were planning on location ceremony, we weren't going to have them because they tend to get whiny and they're so potty trained that they might not "go" outside of the house which would cause loads of whining.

Pros: Obviously, your beloved pets are there for the big moment and cute pictures.

Cons: If they tend to act up or are neurotic or nervous it's gonna be a problem. Also, you'll need someone as the designated pup watcher.

We really would like our pit bull to be the ring bearer but I'm afraid he would get too preoccupied trying to make friends with everyone! Plus, I know so many people are afraid of pit bulls. Even though he is just a love bug.
