Dogs in wedding

Caitlin, on March 29, 2020 at 10:46 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 12
Is anyone having there dogs be a part of their wedding? Such as your dog as the ring bearer or your dog as a bridesmaid? I would love to include my Pom in my ceremony and get her a really cute dress, but my venue doesn’t allow dogs Smiley sad

Our dog is literally our child but we decided it’d be too much stress for him. Then after we had the ceremony someone would have to be responsible to drive him an hour back to our house so we decided to not include him.

Yes that is also something we thought about, what would we do with her during the reception? Somebody would have to take her home and we live like 30 minutes from the venue. Our dog is our child too lol!

We thought about it too, but same as both posts. Our venue I don’t think allows dogs inside, so she might have been able to be part of the ceremony but someone would have to drive her back home and we live about 35 minutes away from our venue. So she’ll have to sit it out Smiley sad.

Our venue is allowing us to bring our little guy. We’re hoping he will be our ring bearer but he gets easily distracted by people... so we will see. Either way, he’ll around since he’s like our son.

We were going to include our late fur child as a bridesmaid, but she passed away not long after we made the decision to postpone. On a lighter note though, we're intending to have our new puppy be a bridesmaid, probably complete with dress. We don't live far from the venue and need good pictures with our new baby.

We're having our dog as the ring bearer! He is our baby and when looking for venues I narrowed it down to only pet friendly venues. He is very laid back and he is used to parties so we think he should be okay. But if needed we are about 20 mins from venue so someone can take him home.

Our venue allows dogs but they are waaaay to hyper to have sit during a ceremony. We are going to board them for the wedding day at a local dog sitters house, so they arn't home alone. I made cardboard cut outs of my dogs and I am going to have them in front of our sweetheart table. My dogs are not the biggest fans of their cardboard selves though.

Our venue does allow dog because it is behind the actually restaurant. But our little fur baby is about 14 yrs old. We call her our “grandma baby”. So she would be overwhelmed with everyone being there. We decided to just have her there for our pre-ceremony photos and drive her afterwards.

That’s actually what I decided to do too! I’m hoping people with take pictures with them and everything. I think it is a great way to incorporate pets into the wedding. Your cutouts look awesome!
