Does your bridesmaid lineup truly matter....

I've never considered the order of my girls though. They are all almost the same height. I might just do the length of time I've known them.

I think it is absolutely cruel to place them in order by how much you like them or who you think you're closest to. Seriously - you are ranking your friends?? Talk about offensive to the one that ends up last. That's awful. It should be something neutral like height or let them arrange the order themselves.

I paired up the bridesmaids with the groomsmen I think they will look best with and the order will be based on the height differences of the groomsmen. The girls are all roughly the same height and the guys look like a staircase lol.

Someone has to be last. Let's just hope they are all mature enough to be happy with just being in the wedding.

I have 4 bridesmaids plus MOH. Two bridesmaids each have the same dress and the MOH has a third. I am basing it off dress styles. MOH -> Dress 1 -> Dress 2 -> Dress 1 --> Dress 2.

Otherwise, it would be random. I am uncomfortable ranking my friends by importance. I chose my MOH based off length of time we had been friends (almost 20 years)

Probably by height for mine. A wedding I was in recently had us stand by the amount of years she knew us. It worked out well because her sister was closest to her and cousin and then friends. No drama.

My best friend did it by height. I'm doing it by the length I've known them. One of my bm told me last night she was a little disappointed she was next to last. I explained the order, she seemed ok. I couldn't do it based on closeness.
