Hi yall!

Any advice for day of getting ready and who all is involved? Obviously my bridesmaids, flower girl, and mom... but does the mother-in-law typically get ready with all of us too? My finance's parents are divorced, so they wouldn't be staying together or getting ready together... However, his mom's boyfriend from Italy will be there to get ready with her... so not sure how that works or what's expected/appropriate etiquette.

I think it def comes down to space, time and consideration. For example, my venue has a bridal suite with a small living room area with 2 couches, a decent sized bathroom and another room with 2 salon chairs and big mirrors for getting ready. As much as having the main people together and ready for showtime goes, the reality is that between myself (bride), my mother, my sister, my MIL and my Sister in law that is a lot of us that need to get ready not to mention how long it will take for me to be done and I will not be okay with getting rushed or anything of sorts. If you have a good relationship with everyone then it should be fine, they'll understand and maybe might even prefer getting ready somewhere else to ensure they also look their best and are comfortable getting ready.

I totally get that. And I could see why you would be worried about too many people. But think she's just one more person so is she really gonna make a bug difference. I say go with your gut and what you want. You will make the small space work that day. Or have her get ready at home or wherever and then come hamh out with you guys once she's ready.
