Does it matter what color your wedding dress is? Or does it have to be white?

Your dress can be any color you want! Some people may think it's weird not to wear a white or white-adjacent dress, so be prepared for some comments, but I think they're beautiful. The skirt of my dress is pink and I think it's awesome but it's totally not a 'typical' wedding dress color.

If it makes you feel better I'm going way out there and I'm wearing black!!!!

My dress is Champange and Ivory, white didn't look good on me.

To the original question: No, you can wear what you like. White is traditional (at least in the US - some foreign countries / cultures have other styles), but there is no requirement to follow traditions.

My dress is Magenta. Def wear whatever color you want!

White, while lovely and traditional, is not required. I have a blush colored gown. And I have zero regrets. Wear what is true to YOU. People will remember things that are regular A-line, white sweetheart gowns (not knocking those, but that is common). Who cares what anyone thinks about your choice other than you and FI?

This makes me feel so much better! Just got my dress and it is gold and ivory and i just have been having worried feelings since i thought id for once go traditional. Ended up getting what is technically a prom or evening dress but will put a petticoat under to make it a traditional ball gown shape
