Does anyone know how much the Biltmore costs?

Izzy, on April 14, 2018 at 4:08 PM Posted in Planning 1 18

Just wondering if anyone here has been married at the Biltmore estate and knows about how much it costs. I'm trying to get my budget hammered down so I can accurately save for my wedding, but it's been really hard to find that one out. We are planning on taking a trip to Biltmore so my fiancé can see the estate and confirm that they like it, they've never been, but based on pictures they're about 90% sure they're on board for it, so if all else fails I'm sure I can ask while I'm there--we'll make sure to make an actual appointment like the wedding page of their website says to. But I was originally thinking we could wait to do that for a while, since with our current estimated budget it's going to be several years before we're married. But if I can't find out the price, I think I'll just have to do that sooner. I know some people probably thinking planning a venue this early is nuts, but if I want to be able to save for the right budget, I need to know how much my venue is!

I just did a google search and for 100 guests the average was $45k. It also said the rental fee alone is $10k-$25k. Beautiful venue, but seems pretty pricey.

God, my google must be broken, I couldn't find anything! Definitely pricey, but I expected that, with the beauty of the estate and the grounds, plus everything they do. I wonder if the average being $45k means the average basic cost or if the average is people buying the extras...

I think that's the average basic because it mentioned having things added on like extra hours.

I found this on google, just in case anyone else was wondering! So, it seems like I'm not going to have any idea what to save for until I go and talk to someone. Dang it.

I actually looked into it when first planning- they have A LOT of different packages and pricing. It depends on which room/ location you want to choose. If I remember correctly, I looked into the conservatory for 50 people and it was about 10k. When you go, they give you a packet of information, no appointment necessary. It actually seemed really reasonable, cost wise.

Add: I’m pretty sure the 10k quote included food and drinks, along with the venue fee. But when I get home, I’ll look for my packet of info, and take a few screen shots

Have you tried to message them on ww? They say their reception packages start $3500. I would try that first before you go to visit them. That way you don't waste your time or theirs.

Don't forget too about price increases. Your wedding is 6 years away. Pricing will most definitely go up between your visit and your wedding. That's something to talk to them about when you meet with them

I found this, but it's two years old. No doubt prices have increased.

@Kiley Why didn't I think of that? lol. Just messaged them!

@Gipperkm That's a very good point. Hopefully they can give me an idea of how their prices have changed in the past few years to help predict how they could change in the next few years.

@Master That's so incredibly helpful, thank you!!

Actually, $3,500 is the listed price for the champagne cellar, but it doesn't include the fovea & beverage minimum.

I have the brochure somewhere in my computer. I looked at when wedding planning. They have all different areas and each area has a different venue rental and minimum cost. It was pretty pricey for sure but ranged depending which section you rented! I’ll see if I can find it in my messages!

I’m not near a computer until Sunday! But I suggest messaging them in here and they send over the info. If you don’t get it by Monday I’ll post it in this chat!

The only wedding I've been to there was 75 guests and easily over 100k. I saw somewhere they have a pop-up package for something like 15k, so I think there's a pretty wide variance.
