I would love for a makeup artist to come and do myself and my bridal party's(4 total) makeup. Does anyone know about how much it would run? Or what did you pay??

Most of them will only charge your bridal party $20-$25 bucks. I know the ones I know will. But the brides makeup is always more!

Mine is charging $69 for each member of the BP and I'm being charged $89. I feel "some kinda way" that I'm not getting a "freebie" for mine, especially since she's doing like 10 faces, but she's that good, so I'm going to go with her.

That is expensive. I just went down to the MAC store and asked one of the girls if they wanted to make some extra money and I got one for $25 a head. She'll have 12 faces to do so that's $300 which is more than she'll make in a days work at the MAC store. My makeup artist however is charging me $100, and she is Awesome!! I posted my trial a couple of days ago.

@Tash, I so wished your makeup artist was in Atlanta..

Just got a quote from one artist, she said $450 for entire bridal party including myself.

WOW! I wish I could have found these prices! It must be a location thing? Here in Connecticut I couldn't find anyone for under $100 a face, and more for mine! This is why we are doing our own makeup...

Wow! The one person I have gotten a rate from so far says it will be $700 for me and my 6 brides maids. If it was going to be that much I would just do the best I could lol.

Most artists I have been looking at charge around $150 for the Bride and $100 for the Bridesmaids.

The prices I am about to say are for hair and makeup:

$135 for me - includes a trial for both and fake eyelashes. I am using the trial for bridals.

    $85 for maids and mothers.

I am paying $200 for my MUA and hairstylist to come to the resort where we will be. Then it's $50 for hair and $35 for make up. I did not require my BMs to get their hair or make up done so if they do they will pay for it, I just gave them the option to use the people I hired.

$25 or $40 a face? WHERE THE HECK IS THAT?!?! lol

My MUA is $70 for each bridesmaids makeup. It was about the same when I was in my friends wedding last year, with a different MUA. That's pretty standard around here. My makeup is $80 I believe. MUA will be traveling to us that morning to get ready.

My daughter's wedding: I paid $750 for the bride, five BMs, and myself. Hair was extra -- didn't use it, but I think it was $40/head and $75 for anyone who wanted clip-on extensions (price of hair extensions not included).

    Hello brides!

I hope I can give you some insight as a makeup artist in the NY area.

Prices can vary depending on locations. Here in NY prices can vary from 100- 150 for the bride and 80-100 for the bridesmaids. We always try to work around your budget and we take into consideration the number of girls in your party.

I recommend always asking around to more than one makeup artist to have a better idea of the prices in your location. Look at their portfolio, their reviews and communicate with the artist via email. You want your makeup to look beautiful but also you want to feel comfortable with your makeup artist.

Good luck, if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me
