My fiance is foreign and we just submitted paperwork to get a K1 fiance visa. Just wondering if anyone else is going through this process.

I read somewhere that the affidavit for the K1 visa (I-134) isn't legally binding it just helps the consulate make a decision as opposed to the affidavit you need for AOS (I-864). Don't hold me too it. I could be wrong

My FH is Canadian. I still have school so I won't be ready to move up there until we have enough money for a house.

&Dani: Still going to have Biometrics, accordingly, it will take 4-5mos to get the card if NO RFE and the interview goes well. Just make sure all legal papers are in and check everything is correct and according to what category you belong Smiley smile

I'm the foreign fiancée, I'm from Australia and came here on a j1 visa, almost 2years ago. We are in the greencard process right now! Obviously nothing can be sent until after we get married but there is so much paperwork and everything has to be correct and all the evidence has to be there so it never hurts to start early Smiley smile
