Does anyone else wish they could wear more fancy dresses since wedding dress shopping?

Since I've been shopping for my wedding gown and on websites with evening gowns and cocktail dress it makes me wish I lived a life where I had occasions to wear those type of dresses. I wear gym clothes for work and on the weekends its leggings or jeans. My FH is a blue collar jeans and t-shirt guy...

Since I've been shopping for my wedding gown and on websites with evening gowns and cocktail dress it makes me wish I lived a life where I had occasions to wear those type of dresses. I wear gym clothes for work and on the weekends its leggings or jeans. My FH is a blue collar jeans and t-shirt guy and thinks if Im wearing a cheap sundress from target that I'm "dressing up". We don't live a life where we have events to wear fancy clothing, but damn I wish I did! I see so many gorgeous stunning dresses I wish I could have but there is no sense in buying and not wearing. Anyone else? Or is it just me. Smiley laugh

    Definitely! I love dressing up!
We are possibly attending 2 events this month where the attire is more semi-formal and I can't wait!
My fiance's cousin is having a Gatsby theme birthday party in April and even though I won't be wearing a gown, I'm excited to get into the theme!

Pfft. Second marriage for both me and my FH and we are going all out! I will be looking more fabulous than I did the first time around. Wear what makes you happy! Afterall this is your first marriage to your FH, you both deserve to make it the best!

Oh no! I went both junior and senior but I got quick choice dresses that were bad choices for the only tome I would be able to wear a beauty like those dresses, probubly why I wanted a two dress wedding but they're just too expensive

Yes! But that's just kinda me in general. I love dressing up. When our friend group all lived near by we use to do "fancy Fridays" where we would get all dolled up and either go out to eat (usually horrible overdressed, but we had fun) or just hang around feeling fancy drinking and playing board games.

It's okay, my prom would have been back in the 80s and I remember I went dress shopping with a friend who was going and I tried on one dress for fun. A peach puffy dress like gown with the wind style....probably for the best I didnt go! Lol

SAME! I have always wished I could dress like royalty from the 1900's. shopping for dresses just made that desire more prevalent lol
