Does anyone do Wedding Favors anymore?

Jasmine, on June 24, 2018 at 1:23 PM

I have opted to not have favors. I can not justify paying for things that people don’t keep and often times leave behind at the reception. Are you doing favors or did you have favors at your wedding? Why or Why not?!!!

We skipped them. This is a recent thing (I am in my early 50's) and I just never thought of them, to be honest. The first time I wed in 1994 they were not a "thing" so I just never thought of them this time, lol.

We put any extra funds towards top shelf liquor. We knew our crowd!

My 30 wedding guests are all coming in from out of town and buying some local made treats to put in bags to take home. The bags were really cheap and cute...check out Zazzle!

Were doing little 2 oz honey jars but my mom works for the farm so they’re free to us. If that wasn’t the case we would probably skip them or count the photo booths photo as a favor

We are doing gourmet Belgian chocolate Rose's and hearts in "thank you" bags, but our wedding is only going to be about 70 people and we figured the chocolate would be a hit with the kids.

Our coordinator honestly told us to count our photobooth as a wedding favor. It’s at the bottom of the list in our budget and idk if we are doing it bc we are already spending so much to ensure our guests have a good time.

We did these wine stoppers. They were gold with gold foil topper. Came in a cute little box. 75 bucks for 50 and we only had 5 left over.

Photobooth photos as favors! 😊 I was originally going to do something edible, but then got the photobooth with the venue!

Favors are favors whether they are placed at each individual place setting or on a table all together.

I'm still undecided about the favors, but leaning towards locally sourced mini jams or jellies with a cute "spread the love" tag. My other thought is fancy bags of popcorn.

I personally don't like candy bars and things like that, since we usually don't eat very many sweets, and we usually pass on them.

We are doing mini wine bottles as favors. I would've liked to do liquor-infused truffles, but we decided on wine instead.

Also, I like favors. I have some from friends' weddings 10+ years ago, and always use the koozie that my cousin had as a favor.

Unless it is commercially prepared, people may skip them. I love chocolate but something prepared by a teen?

We did, and all of ours were taken. I'm not surprised, they were pretty awesome Smiley smile

We gave out containers of looseleaf tea and a tea infused with a little tag that said drink me. No personalization, but we put stickers on them to match our theme.

Right now we are not sure if we will be doing favors or not. Our wedding budget has taken a hit as we have a baby due this August so priorities have shifted. We have been also talking about cutting our guest list to fit our new budget.
