Does an officiant get a boutineer?

My florists said that the officiant gets a boutineer. What are you ladies doing? Is your officiant getting a boutineer? I kinda thought that he didn't need one but now I don't know.

Wow, very good post. I about freaked out but I'm pretty sure I included one for my pastor who is also my FH's father. Smiley smile Might double check... haha!

That's a great question. I've never been asked to do one for the officiant although I don;t see why it would be inappropriate if you did do it.I think you're fine either way.

We included one just because our offciant took so much time and energy helping plan the wedding. He said he felt honored to be included that way.

I've only been given one while officiating at family weddings, so I think you are fine not to.

I have received some- my thought is what have you asked yours to wear-robe or suit- also think about your pictures? Do you have visions of the minister wearing one? Its really up to you and if you wish to include one for him or her to wear. I too have saved the ones that I was given and have then attached to the frame of the couples in my office.

I'm an officiant in Denver CO. I'd rather not have one. On occasion I've gotten one, and I'll wear it, but I don't need it. You can ask your officiant if they want one. If they defer to you don't bother with it.

At least offer!! Though your wedding officiant is (or at least should be) compensated for his or her services, the wedding officiant is a vital member of your wedding party with the most important and significant role in the wedding ceremony. He or she should be invited to be in your wedding photos and should be appropriately dressed to match the wedding party (including a boutineer).
