Do you wear your engagement ring when you sleep and take a shower?

I don't.

I generally take my rings off to wash dinner dishes, whatever doesn't go in the dishwasher, and then I don't put them on again until the next morning, right before I walk out the door for work. I have a ring holder.

The only time I take mine off is when I use lotion or I take it to get cleaned.

I can't sleep in mine at all - I get hot when I sleep and my hands swell up. I don't shower with it either - I did once and it got stuck in my hair!

I take mine off all the time. Mostly only wear it when leaving the house. I have a ring holder in kitchen, so as soon as I start preparing food or doing dishes, it comes off. I don't shower, clean, use beauty products or sleep in it either.

I don't sleep or shower with any jewelry on except my cross necklace.

I take it off to sleep, shower, and clean.

I hardly ever take mine off. The only time I take it off is if I'm mixing raw meat for meatballs, meatloaf or burgers. Other than that, I wear it all the time. I know for me, if I lost a stone or something I'd be pretty sad because it wouldn't be the exact ring FH proposed with but I wear all my other jewelry non-stop so it was just natural to wear my e-ring all the time.

I take mine off when I shower because I'm afraid it will slip off. I also take it off for a second when dealing with lotions and other products. I sleep with it every night though! My finger feels funny without it now!

On all the time unless I'm mixing meatloaf etc. took it off once at work to lotion my hands and had melt down in front office 5 minutes later when I misplaced it next to my lotion bottle ... Learned my lesson

Get insurance on your ring and then all of your worries may be set to rest! My insurance covers everything from damage, theft, even just losing it! That being said, there is a reason the traditional materials are used in engagement rings; they were meant to last a lifetime. My mom literally can't even take hers off in the summer anymore and it's totally fine after 30 years. The only thing to worry about is what might wear down your metal. I don't work out with mine on because of the metal dumbbells. You shouldn't do any ceramics either, for example, because the sediment will wear the metal down. Exfoliating soaps are not great either I hear. Other than that, I take mine off to apply lotion as well just because it gets gunked up, but won't damage it. I'm more worried about losing it if I take it off than I am of damaging it.

I take mine off when I sleep, shower, cutting up raw meat, and I'm currently working on painting our deck, so I take it off then too. I have a stand next to my side of the bed and just put it on there when I take it off and it's right there when I wake up so I remember it. (unless I'm cutting up meat, I'll put it on the counter)

I take mine off when I come home from work, it's my grandmothers ring and I worry I'll break it, so it goes in a safe place.
I know my grandmother would call it silly but if I broke it I'd be beside myself!
But that means I do forget to wear it, and when I do I'm bummed but life goes on.

I take mine off while sleeping, showering, working out, handling messy food, or doing anything that can damage it (cleaning with chemicals, gardening).
