Do you wear stockings under your wedding dress?

Do you wear stockings under your wedding dress? I know I'm supposed to have a garter belt. I wear pantyhose at my work place (Hooter's) and they make me wear thigh high stockings at my internship at the law firm. But I feel like setting my legs free. But is it weird to wear just a garter belt under...

But I feel like setting my legs free. But is it weird to wear just a garter belt under there?

You don't have to wear a garter if you don't want to. There isn't anyone or anything that could convince me to wear one.

Also, if they are requiring that you dress a certain way (especially if it is different from what is typical for male employees) you could file a complaint. I know I would get offended by the requirements you mentioned.

Just to make things clear to OP: a garter and a garter belt are not the same thing...

I, the one with fish-belly-white legs, wear pantyhose when I wear a short skirt. With a skirt long enough to cover most of my legs, I don't bother.

    Do what you want!

So you wear pantyhose at Hooters, but thigh highs at a law firm, which is sexual harassment in nature.

    Interesting.

I didn't wear stockings or thigh highs. No garter either.

@Star...they can require it if its in the sense that the legs have to be covered, meaning that if you want to wear a skirt you have to wear stockings of some kind, but I don't think they can require the actual type of garment being worn. Its like requiring people to wear an underwire bra versus a sports bra

Maltese, I agree. I worked for a conservative company that required you to be covered up. But to require thigh highs specifically is odd.

I worked in a few law offices and no one has ever told me there is even a dress code. It is assumed that you dress professional but high stockings? Now-a-days most women wear pants to work. With that being said, I'm staying out of this :o)

I wore hose so my shoes would not get all sweaty.

I'm from California and I can't tell you the last time I saw someone in hose. So nope. Skipping
