Do you think David's bridal will accept my dress back or give me an exchange

So in January I bought a simple little wedding dress at David's bridal I no longer like the style, fit or anything I also am having my wedding date postponed (was June 2018) now I'm thinking some time next year .. question is do you think they will let me return it or exchange it for something I do...

I did have it altered because I WAS going to use it just because I already had it .. I had straps and a bustle added. 😭😭😭😭

This, all this. Sadly when a dress is altered to fit it becomes a 'custom' piece. There are resale dress sites you can take a look at though, I've definitely spoke with a few brides who have bought from them, so it's a good idea to try and sell on them! Good luck OP! I hope you find the dress that speaks to you!

They recently let me exchange my gown for other things, but as mentioned, I highly doubt they will let you exhange since it's been altered. They told me it had to be in pristine condition.

Just because people have it doesn’t mean it’s normal. Dress regret isn’t something I’d be proud of. I loved my dress from the day I got it. But you shouldn’t Jump the gun on your wedding until you know your venue.

I don't know if I'd say there's a normal to dress buying. Dress regret just wasn't your experience, glad it worked out for you.

If the dress has been altered, I don't imagine they could allow a return or exchange even if they might have allowed it before. You may want to try to sell it yourself. There are several online sites that brides will often use for bridal clothing resale. Additionally, many cities have shops that will accept bridalwear for resale. Best of luck!

It's just not that serious. It's a dress, she now wants a different one. I'm glad you guys could swing a wedding in 6 months and you loved your dress and your life is great but you are really making it more serious than it is. It's a dress lol

I’m sorry you feel I was trying to attack you. I wasn’t. But I do hope you have a lovely holiday and a magical wedding. I do apologize if that’s how it came off though.
