Do you take your e-ring on vacations?

We are about to go on a 2-week trip to Alaska. I guess I should leave my ring at home in a safe … it’s a pretty expensive ring, and I’m not sure if I’ll need to take it off for some of our excursions and don’t want the maid to take it or something. I’m so sad though! I don’t have a “placeholder”...

I’m so sad though! I don’t have a “placeholder” ring. I imagine once we get our wedding hands that I’ll just wear that out for vacations.

What do you do for a long vacation???

Depends on the type of vacation! Went on a vacation to visit family friends a few months ago, and I wore it then. Right now I’m on a beach vacation, I left it in a safe and am wearing a silicon ring instead! I do miss my ring lol but I wouldn’t want to have to worry about wearing it to the beach or in the ocean. We’re also planning to go to Italy for our honeymoon and I am going to leave it in a safe for that too, since we’ll be at the beach for some of the time and also I’m nervous about wearing it into big cities... we live right by NYC and I NEVER wear it into NYC. I suppose the only time I’d wear it on vacations is if I was confident that I’d keep it on the entire time (like staying at a family friend’s house lol)

We got engaged in Paris and continued to travel around Europe. It also did not fit properly, I still wore it everywhere. Except Germany. I kept it in a travel safe we bring. Most rings are expensive mine was 14k as long as it’s insured you will be fine.

This is how I feel too. Got a Qalo ring for the beach for this very reason. Plus, sand, salt water, chlorine, sunscreen = fat finger.

I would either put it on a thick chain around my neck or hand it over to your fiancee for him to keep up with, but not at home. Your house could get robbed, you never know

I always have my ring on unless doing harsh activities or cleaning. I also take it w/ me on vacation. I’m extra careful so I’m not worried abt anything happening to it, but just in case, it’s insured

I wear my ring as much as possible and I’m leaving the day after I get married for my honeymoon. I plan on wearing the whole set together, since I will be able to wear them as a set now (they are already both insured) and if I feel things are getting sketchy (we are going to San Fran and I hear the homeless situation is a little scary, oh well), I’ll turn my ring around on my finger so they can’t see the diamond. Then it just looks like 2 silver bands. I do that when I’m in NYC and haven’t had a problem.

I leave my ring at home in a safe while I'm on vacation.
