Do you invite grandparents to both bridal showers?

Lydia, on March 22, 2013 at 12:41 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

I am very lucky to get two bridal showers. I know I should invite my mom, his mom, his sister, and my bridal party to all bridal showers. My question is do I invite his grandparents to the bridal shower for my side of the family and vice versa?

Welcome to WW, Lydia! I would think inviting each set of grandparents to the shower for their side would be enough -- if both showers are traditional, gift giving events, it could look a bit gift greedy to invite them to both. But if you'd like for both sets to meet the families, just talk to them beforehand about it so they know they are invited to both without an expectation of a gift at both.

We had a friends only co-ed shower, so I have no experience with inviting family, but hopefully others can chime in and provide more advice.

I hope you'll update your avatar (the rings) to ANY unique picture we can more easily remember you by in the future. This post tells you how to do that and more: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/welcome-to-the-weddingwire-forums-please-read-if-you-are-new/b433c40c1a62b96a.html

Welcome to WW! Congratulations! Both on your engagement and 2 showers!

No, you don't have to invite each set of grandparents to both showers. Honestly, I would only invite the moms and on BM/MOH, instead of the entire BP.

I agree with Future Mrs. W. That only need to invite grandparents to one.
