Do vendors usually send payment reminders?

One of my vendors has sent two reminders since January about the final payment due next month. I'm going to pay her why do I need two reminders? I'm not taking it personally, she's probably just keeping organized but it is kinda rubbing me the wrong way

    Nearly all of our vendors want paid the week or day of. That stresses me out. I want to get them paid off now so we don't have to stress about getting checks to people the day of our wedding. We actually contacted them last week to see if we could just pay them early. A few said that was fine, one wanted to wait until the day of.

    Mine have all sent reminders. I booked most of my vendors over a year ago, so I am sure they want to ensure that I remember the dates of payment. Not every couple is good about remembering dates.

    Our venue did! They were switching to a new system though, so we would have to follow up nonstop to ask them to deduct the payment even though we had entered it.

    Most of my vendors did not, but I also paid everything early/in full when I was allowed.

    I think it's a nice gesture.

    I definitely don't mind a payment reminder haha. It also tells me the business cares about their business.

    I kind of wish that mine would. All of my vendors are true vendors (not friendors) and half of them never included a final payment due date on their contracts. So I had to make my own payment plan schedule to make sure everyone gets paid on time.

    I had the opposite effect since my wedding is "early" wedding season my vendors all waiting to have me pay other than an initial deposit which makes me crazy. Having a phone conference with my caterer tonight and going to get final amount since they forgot to send me a second payment until I contacted them and by that point they said just send it once you get final head count.

    As SaraLep said, reminders may have been sent automatically.

    I usually have about 20 weddings in the pipeline and wish I had an automatic system!

    No reminders over here and I wish they would. I went through and reviewed all my contracts and BAM floral is due tomorrow. Well, I better get on that. Most mine are due the week of, but I'm glad I double checked.

    Our caterer asked for 60 days in advance to be payed in full, but when I called to pay she said, "you guys are fine! We have your deposit, just make sure you pay me a week before." Well, okay! I didn't argue with her.

    No one has reminded me, but I have a longgg time before anymore money is due. did you respond to the vendors first email, just a polite 'thanks for the reminder, we'll make sure its paid!' type email?

    they might have only sent the second one because you didn't respond to the first. or they have a history of brides dicking them over Smiley sad

    Mine venue sends reminders. One time they sent me two in one week but she emailed me and said that the computer generates it on its own and to disregard the second notice.

    I send a reminder 2 weeks before final payments are due to my bridal parties for hair/makeup - not to be annoying, but because i know stuff gets busy in that last month and its easy for things to slip your mind.
