Do people still wear garters?

It is ! i wore one. but i have increasingly been seeing people skip it

We're both older too and most (if not all) of our invited guests are married except the kids who will be there. We both agreed there is no need for us to include these at our reception. I recently received one as a gift (long awkward story LOL) undecided as to whether or not I'll actually wear it.

I'm wearing one because my mom is giving me a blue one for my something blue, but we are not doing the garter toss, lol

I am not planning to wear one.
