Do people still wear garters?

Yes its still a thing, but not really. I'm not wearing one. Its up to you what you want to do. Seems a lot of people are skipping it lately.

I didn’t wear one. We didn’t do the garter or bouquet tosses so I didn’t see the point 🤷‍♀️ But people still wear them.

We aren’t going a garter toss but I bought one anyway. Come to think of idk if it even fits! 😂 I only bought it surprise my FH the night of. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I suppose people still might wear them underneath their dresses, but I haven't seen an actual garter toss in years. I'd definitely recommend skipping a garter toss since the concept is rooted in sexist principles and they're so uncomfortable to watch for the guests

I wear them if I am wearing stockings, since they hold the stockings up. But these are functional garters, not the type of garter that is meant for show.
If I do wear them for the wedding, they’ll be the double clip kind to attach to my shape-wear, and definitely not to be taken off at the wedding.

I did. I really didn’t want to but my husband convinced me and it ended up being a really funny part of the evening.

To be honest, I have never seen the garter toss in real life at any wedding I have attended (out of many so maybe it the social circle?). On the fence about it since I don’t care either way. But they’re still being sold so someone is buying them.

I'm definitely not doing that, or the bouquet toss. It's so cringy watching the groom grope up the bride's dress in front of friends and family...

I don't want to do the garter toss at my wedding. I know my family will wonder why I'm not. It's one of those old-fashioned traditions that can just go away, in my opinion. However, I think I might get one to surprise the groom with on our wedding night.

I’m not! Personally just not a big fan of them. I caught the bouquet at the last wedding I was (got engaged right after that so I guess that tradition does stand!) and a groomsman caught the garter. He had to put it on me in front of the whole wedding and I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in my life lol. He was very sweet about it though! It was in that exact moment that I said I would never do it at my own wedding though LOL. We’re all about traditions but that’s one that we’re skipping

Yep people still wear it but I didn’t and I’m sooo glad I didn’t.
