Do I not understand the concept of a troubadour?

My thought was that this was the person passing hors d'ouvres around. But I Googled it, and it's more like a wandering singing minstrel? I'm sort of confused!

@Wolf: I'd hate to live in Stars Hollow... everyone was in everybody else's business... they all knew when Rory started seeing Dean, when she became interested in Jesse, etc.

It's on the hors d'oeuvres catering menu! "Troubadour included for one hour on specified items". I thought perhaps passed for an hour and then stationed. But no! A wandering minstrel!

Are you calling/emailing your venue to ask for more details about the troubadour? If you do, please let us know how it works, I'm curious about it Smiley smile

Maybe he has certain songs he sings to accompany different items. "Pork and Beans" by Weezer - a little cup of pork and beans! "Strawberry Fields Forever" by The Beatles - anything with strawberries in it! The possibilities are endless!!

@VC - see, I liked that they had that close knit community. I guess it would get obnoxious but I loved their constant festivals and shenanigans. I can't wait for the new season on Netflix!

@Wolf: Maybe as an adult I'd love the close knit community, but can you imagine as a teenager having the entire town know every time you kissed someone? Lol

ETA: I did love Gilmore Girls though, I can't wait either!! Yay for Netflix bringing them back

They may need to write their own songs though...I don't recall any about gruyere and hazelnut straws?

What if it's a wandering server who sings about the food they are serving?

"What a joyous daaaay! Have a canapeeeee!"

That makes them even more talented then! I would love to hear the rhyming structure with "gruyere." And "hazelnut straws," actually. I feel like trying to do that rather than work on my grant proposal haha.
