Do I need to register for both white wine and red wine glasses?

I am going over my registry and it has more things than I would like to have on the list. (and we are hoping for more cash, not gifts) I am the type of person who likes to go with formality and think about traditions, but I am not sure that I will need to register for both red wine and white wine...

If you have any wisdom on this area, please let me know! Thank you!

I registered for 1 set of 8 glasses in 3 different glasses. Red (merlot and cabernet) and white (chardonnay) glasses. You could get away with drinking cabernet and merlot in the same red wine glass if you want.

I registered for both, but that's because I love wine and so do pretty much all of the ladies I hang with regularly. Our circle likes to host get togethers, so I think they will be used.
