Hi all! So I am definitely NOT a dessert person and I certainly do not spend a lot of my hard earned money on sweets. I have decided to completely skip the wedding cake all together. Hi all!

So I am definitely NOT a dessert person and I certainly do not spend a lot of my hard earned money on sweets. I have decided to completely skip the wedding cake all together. However, I don't even have the slightest urge to spend money on any kinds of desserts for everyone else to enjoy. But, EVERYONE is telling me that I must have some kind of dessert at the wedding. After doing some research, I am looking at spending close to $1,000 on desserts alone, which makes my wallet cry.

What are your thoughts on having no dessert at all? If you believe desserts are a must, do you have any low cost suggestions?? (Even S'MORES bars are expensive!)

Thanks all for your opinions and suggestions Smiley smile

I think a cake is the cheapest and easiest option. You don’t have to eat it but I would expect there to be sweets at a wedding. Check out your local wholesale store because my mom got a 2 layer cake for my bridal shower from Bj’s wholesale for only $30 and it was delicious!

It's not always about what the bride and groom don't like. I read on here someone didn't like dancing, but you gotta remember you are throwing this party for your guests! It's customary to provide your guests with dinner and dessert. My FH hates sweets too, barely eats them, but we are still doing cake. I would look into doing a cake instead. That is surely less than $1,000. You could even get sheet cake and the venue will cut it and place it out on the dessert table. You don't have to do a cake cutting if you aren't interested in eating said cake. You can check into cheesecake and cookies! Something is surely going to be less than $1,000 just keep looking!

I think we are going to do sheet cake for dessert. It’s pretty cheap - $75 for 100 servings.
