Do i go gel or acrylic nails?

Personally, i cannot stand gel nails. they make my fingertips feel like they're suffocating. I do love acrylics tho! i love having the long nails, even if they are damaging

I prefer gel fake nails. For me, they are thicker & stronger and don't yellow. I usually do an ombre french tip.

I used to do gel all the time because I worked in a bakery and wasn't allowed to wear regular nail polish since it could chip into the food. But gel was safe because it doesn't chip! I had it done once a month for about 6 months and my nails were always a little yellow after, so I can't imagine that it is "good" for your nails, but also I really don't think that doing it 1 time for your wedding would cause long-term damage. Like I said, my experiences were always positive. It looked flawless for 1 week, and usually for the second week too. By the third week it would start looking less good but only because the nails would start growing so you could see the gap between your finger and where the polish began. By the fourth week some of the polish would start to peel off.

That's how it always went in my experience! I haven't gotten it done since working at the bakery like 4 years ago, but I do plan to do gel nails again for the wedding. I'm probably going to get it done Thursday night (wedding is Sunday) so I don't have to worry about getting it done over the weekend... and it's still going to look perfect by Sunday!

Another vote for the dip! I never have issues with it peeling like I do with gel and it's not as thick looking. I've been doing dip for about 6 months and my nails are not weak or brittle when they remove it to redo another color. I usually go 3 weeks between colors and only get them redone because my nails are getting too long and grown out. I'm having mine done 3 days before the wedding and 100% know they will still look perfect the day of.

Go with ANC. ANC is a colored mineral powder. It goes on in layers. It doesn chip, doesnt fade, and lasts up to 4 weeks. Ive been doing ANC for two years now. My nails are always done. I get mine done every 3 weeks like clockwork. I personally love ANC. You can do anything with it from easy, simple colors to very intricate and elaborate designs.
