Do I get married 7 months pregnant?

Welp, I got thrown a curveball and recently found out I'm pregnant. We're happy, it's what we've always wanted (although preferably after the wedding). It's too early to tell everyone but I need to make some decisions on whether to go through with my May 2018 wedding or push it off. I would be later...

Welp, I got thrown a curveball and recently found out I'm pregnant. We're happy, it's what we've always wanted (although preferably after the wedding). It's too early to tell everyone but I need to make some decisions on whether to go through with my May 2018 wedding or push it off. I would be later into my 7th month so obviously showing. 90% of our guests are from out of town so I would want to give them a heads up soon before they take days of work, buy flights, etc...which I'm sure some of them already have (we've already sent out save the dates unfortunately). I know this is a very personal decision, but perhaps some of you have been through this. What are your thoughts?

A) Cancel the wedding, forfeit many deposits, and postpone for a year

B) Rock the pregnancy bod and keep the date but have to get a new dress (and postpone our honeymoon)

First off congrats! When I was 7 months pregnant I was tired and getting to the point of being uncomfortable. I wanted to be in comfy clothes and in bed by 9! The only thing is after the baby is born you may end up not having a wedding because life gets so busy. Another poster said babies aren't very expensive.. um yes they are! But they are worth every penny. Either way you end up with a new baby and husband!

I think I'd be rocking the pregnant bod! I work for an event venue and recently worked a wedding of a couple with a 10 month old. While it was still beautiful and fun, their adorable son was attached to one of them the whole night, including their first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance.

Personally, I would take the opportunity to celebrate and focus on our relationship and then be oh so excited to start a new chapter together both married and preparing for a bundle of joy!

I would personally keep the date. After the baby comes, timing everything becomes MUCH harder (do you want more than one? If so consider that timing too). Basically everything will become more of a project once the baby comes, so you have to consider that.

I mean there's always a risk of a baby coming early but I think at 7 months I'd feel safe enough going on with it, the likelihood of needing to cancel last minute is still pretty low (at 8 or so months I'd get too nervous)

The only downsides to me are not being able to drink (but you'll still feel the excitement and euphoria all the same!) and feeling like you're looking your best (but you'll be G L O W I N G).

Just be sure to take care of yourself leading up to it -- don't leave last minute things to stress about, get plenty of rest etc

Plus personally for financial reasons , I'd prefer to be married before the birth (insurraannceee)

Lol REALTALK I told FH right now is the time that we have to be the most careful. 10 to 8 months out, I feel like we'd HAVE to push our date. Earlier or later we could make it work

Congrats! I'd keep the date personally. Like PP have said once the baby is out, it would just be harder to do it.

Just need to LOL one more time at the 'babies aren't expensive' comment.

I'm another vote for rocking your wedding pregnant! PPs are right. It's never going to get easier, and if it's already mostly planned, why not?

If you need a less expensive option to replace your dress, the Azazie maternity bridesmaid dresses come in white and ivory!

I would rock the pregnancy body!!! If much of the wedding is already planned, will you really want to RE-PLAN it with a newborn baby in a year? I would stick to the plan, not forfeit the money, and get a new dress if it were me

Oh and the babies aren't expensive thing?! Umm wut. Lol. That person must have a parent or something to provide childcare. I don't have a baby yet but have several friends and coworkers who do and I know that daycare for children under 2 in my area is almost equal to my take home pay. So if I have a baby I need to decide whether to give up most of my salary and keep my career or give up work and all of my salary. Either way, just the baby's existence basically cuts us to one salary and that is before the baby gets clothes, diapers, toys, a crib, sheets, a car seat, food when he or she is ready, utensils, a bib, bottles, formula if needed, etc etc etc!

First off, congrats!!! If it were me, I would rock the belly bump! If you are unsure, talk to your vendors as others have suggested. You may be able to push the date out. If not, rock the bump and enjoy your wedding!

And for the babies arent expensive, what? That just baffles me. Babies are super expensive
