Hey guys! I am getting married on May 2nd, 2020, and I JUST started dress shopping today.. I'd like to get my dress in October ideally due to having way too much stuff to do until then. No. People told me for months get a dress now ha!. I got one at the end of July it was fine. Take your time so that you like what you get don't feel pressured to hurry and get one. Now certain places like Macy's will charge more if you wait to late and David's bridal gives you this story about getting it at a certain time so it can be altered. Ask questions find one you like and get an outside seamstress. Not sure where you live but if you live in a city there are tons and they do last minute work and charge fair prices. I am getting one of my wedding dresses customized for the rehearsal dinner the full price $500 for the dress and customized changes and alterations total completion time one month.
