Do couples still use figurine cake toppers?

We’ll be using a figurine! Haven’t bought it yet but definitely will be figurine style

Our cake topper is a couple. It’s not a figurine exactly but it’s a Christmas ornament because we are getting married in December and I still wanted to keep our cake topper. I’ve seen soooo many letters and cut outs which seems to be the new trend...but then what do you do with it afterwards??

Omg my friend just got married and had bobble heads of themselves made. IT WAS AWESOME. It had her dress and headpiece, and his suit and purple bow tie. Definitely a hit. After they cut the cake, they left the top tier and the topper out and everyone was taking selfies with “them”

We have a figurine but they're animals not people. They just looked too cute

Girl you do you! It's super cute we didn't have figures my husband likes making up songs about the moon ( yeah he's a strange guy sometimes but it's so cute!) When I saw this one on Etsy I HAD to get it, and kept it a secret until the day of.

These are mine and I ordered them through etsy. They are currently being shipped and I can not wait to receive them lol

We had figurines made of us and our dogs to use as our cake topper. It's so us and is a way to always have our girls with us. There's a lot of room to be creative with your topper and it can be whatever you want it to be! Yours is so beautiful and timeless!

Daughter has an awesome custom cake topper that has figures of her and FSIL, as well as their dog. The etsy shop is Lollipop Workshop; it is absolutely adorable. I still have my wedding cake figurine, as well as my mom's from 1948, and both are displayed in the china cabinet. Honestly, I would have loved it if daughter had wanted to use either of those, but I completely understand her wanting her own. Hers is a modern-twist on cake topper figures!

Still debating what I'll be using but open to the idea of this style. I want something simple because what to do with it after the wedding.

Honestly, don't worry about what other people are doing or what's "in style." The best thing about a wedding are those small details that show the couple's personalities. My DH loves to watch Rudolph every Christmas so when I saw these vintage reindeer on Etsy I knew I wanted to use them as our cake topper.

It's all about what you want! My fiancé and I will not have a cake topper and will have fresh flowers on top instead.

We had the cute out that said Mrs & Mrs! I just Wanted the gold glitter lol!

From what I've seen, people are using them less and less and getting more creative with theirs... but if it's something you have your heart set on, why not?
