DMV engagement photos

KELLY, on May 25, 2017 at 1:49 PM Posted in Planning 0 15

I lived in the DMV (DC,MD,VA)

I am trying to figure out where to go for our engagement photos coming up.

Anyone who lives in the DMV have any suggestions?

Same here! I was all excited for some sort of story about how the Department of Motor Vehicles played into your love story, so you decided to do engagement pics there.

We did part of our engagement session at our local grocery store. Cooking together is one of the ways we fell in love, and we are there shopping at least 2 or 3 times a week.

We did ours in Downs Park near Pasadena. We loved it since there's a beach, a grassy area by the water (my avatar), woods, hiking paths, bridges, a beautiful garden, and a dock. We changed clothes twice (there are public bathrooms on site, or just walk into the woods!) so there's so many opportunities for different photos!

I'm in the DMV too! Having our photos done next week at Sugarloaf Mtn. in MD--close to our venue so the photographer can take a look and get ideas for the wedding day.

I love engagement photos by the water-- Baltimore Harbor, Annapolis, Georgetown, Navy Yard, as well as shoots by the monuments. Lots of wineries in the area too with beautiful scenery : Springfield Manor/Winery, Big Cork, several in Leesburg.

ETA: Great Falls is also a stunning setting for engagement photos with the water, rocks, trails and trees Smiley smile

We took ours in Fells Point Baltimore at sunrise! They came out fanatic, we were looking for the historic look with all the brick. (And we got engaged there)

We are using Patapsco State Park. I think Avalon area.

It has a swinging bridge, the river, woods, and some old buildings.

If you have $850 you can have a 2 hour engagement session at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Complete with an "animal ambassador" that you can pick. I've mostly seen penguins used for them. They drive you through the old part of the zoo to take pictures too. If we had the money in our budget we would be doing this. We got engaged at the zoo.

Shameless plug here but how about the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore !? Haha

I work with the primates there and we have some beautiful spots! Plus you might be able to meet a penguin or two Smiley winking
