I just had a consultation with our potential DJ. I just had a consultation with our potential DJ. He’s charging $1995 for a comprehensive package which includes all the bells and whistles (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception) also includes the mics for the officiants and us, as well as the sparkler exit and 8 up lights which I’m not sure I need more for a wedding of 90 guests. I’m just curious if this is consistent with other brides? I’m in the DC area. This guy seems super detail oriented. I’m leaning towards yes but curious what others are doing? Thanks

Our DJ is 1200 for 5 hours, 1400 for 6. He has a DJ and an MC included.

When we started looking at DJs, many of them were quoting all-inclusive packages for $1,500-$2,000 (Milwaukee). Since our budget was $800, we looked at Thumbtack.com instead, where we found a pair of experienced radio DJs who are just branching out into weddings and events. Because they are growing their business, we were able to book them for DJ/MC, lights, etc. for 6 hours for $800.
