dj for Ceremony/reception

Chris, on December 5, 2019 at 10:31 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4

We're having a May 2020 wedding with about 50 guests on a Sunday afternoon. Were' searching for a DJ. Not necessarily a party DJ, but someone with equipment and experience to play our playlist for the ceremony and of course at the reception. We would provide the playlist for both settings, just need someone to manage the music. Ceremony will be outside, but reception will be inside. 12:30 to 5:15; Pre-ceremony music from 12:30 to 1:00...entry music for groom, wedding party and then the bride....then exit music after the nuptials.

Reception: First Dance music....then soft background music during the dining....after cutting the cake...dance music afterwards......

All of the aforementioned music will be already selected for each portion of the wedding and reception.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Have you tried the "vendors" tab here on WeddingWire? It's difficult to give suggestions without knowing location or budget.

I've looked extensively....some have prices..other do not. Reached out to a few and we're not in our budget. Sunday, May 3, 2020..Duluth, Ga

Did you discuss the details of what you are looking for with those vendors? i know the few i spoke to initially were out of my budget as well. once i told them specifically what i wanted/needed they came down on the price.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Chris!

I would definitely recommend contacting some DJs directly and requesting a quote for the exact services that you want.

Alternatively, you could look into sound equipment rental companies and totally DIY your music for your wedding?
