DIYers-Glue Gun, Glue Dots, Glue Stick or something I haven't even thought of??

So I am going to assemble my menus this weekend they are two pieces of cardstock one 3x8 mounted on 4x9. The big question to a DIY rookie like me is what the best adhesive to use, I want to make sure I am not dousing these in glue and they end up looking horrible. Help please!! Also, please be...

So I am going to assemble my menus this weekend they are two pieces of cardstock one 3x8 mounted on 4x9. The big question to a DIY rookie like me is what the best adhesive to use, I want to make sure I am not dousing these in glue and they end up looking horrible. Help please!! Also, please be prepared I am sure I will be back with photos with the ultimate to ribbon or not to ribbon question, any advice now?

    Adding this to my watchlist, because I'm going to need to figure out the glue thing as well, but there were two things I wanted to add.

    1. Spray glue is an aerosol, so make sure you're using it somewhere that's very well ventilated! I helped my dad put together my Bat Mitzvah invites with spray glue ages and ages ago and got a little woozy after a while!

    2. Has anyone ever used a Xyron machine? I've heard they're really useful, but how easy are they to use and are they worth the price?

    Shana there was a bride on here last week or so raving about her xyron machine. I think she used it to make candy bar labels or something. I tried to search but couldn't find the thread.

    I had a Xyron machine but honestly I didn't think it was worth it. It didn't do anything that double stick tape didn't do.
