diy welcome sign/guest book

Hannah, on June 28, 2019 at 2:34 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 9 37
All I did was take the picture out of the frame, traced pre-printed letters & hand painted the laurel. I still need to clean up the edges with a q-tip & some nail polish remover. Total cost: no more than $1. (For the paint & paint brush. The frame was one we already had). Guests will sign this with a gold sharpie & I will clear coat or add another layer of glass to preserve the sharpie. We will lay a chain of greenery and flowers across the top and lean it on an easel at the entrance. Hope this inspires someone!

I was planning on doing a welcome sign like this but never thought of doing something for the guest book. This is pretty smart. Thanks for sharing. Good job!

LOVE IT!!!! I am loving every single bit of this "glass signage" trend. So gorgeous, it will look awesome with the gold signatures!

This looks so gorgeous!!! You did such an amazing job. I did my own with an easel and some acrylic paints I had lying around the house. I just have to add some lettering and it'll be done.

I love this! So, you actually hand painted the lettering on?

I typed out the letters on my computer, taped them to one side, & traced them with paint on the other side! So technically yes they're hand painted but not freehand! I wish my handwriting was like that!

Maybe you could cut the letters out and use the paper as a stencil.
