diy updo help!

Hey ladies,

I have 6 days left and am hoping for any helpful suggestions/photos/youtube links for doing a low-to-medium height bun with curls. My hair is about 4" past collar bone, straight, and I'm leaning towards wearing my side bangs back instead of leaving them down.

I rarely ever style my hair so the easier, the better! It's heavily layered so I'm probably gonna avoid braids.

Thanks in advanceSmiley smile

Oh, and I'll be securing my veil just above the bun.

No problem. Just practice getting it to lay right under the same circumstances you will be for your wedding. Meaning, if you're going to blow it dry the day of, blow it dry for practice. 馃槈

Sigh.....I'm gonna rely pretty heavily on hairspray and bobby pins! Lol. I think my biggest obstacle is that it seems to take forever to curl my hair so I lose interest quickly! Gotta figure out the timing though since I only booked the photographers for 4 hrs. Smiley atonished

My hair doesn't hold curl easily, but a trick I was taught was to use a straightening iron twisted at an angle. It heats more than a regular curling iron. I suggest Guardian Angel hair protectant, too.

Sorry if I'm replying too much...I suck at this stuff, so I've been seeking help and doing at home trial and error myself.

Any and all help is appreciated! I'm a major procrastinator with some things and I'm creeping up on "eh, screw it" mode. But deep down I know I'll be upset if I wing it on the most photographed day of my lifeSmiley laugh

Thank you! I did my trial run today and learned that having mixed drinks while doing hair isn't the greatest plan. lol

Thanks for that advice. I鈥檓 having my wedding hair done professionally, but I attempted to curl my hair this morning and the majority of them fell out by the time I left the house. Although, my preferred way to curl is no heat, by using a headband and wrapping my hair around it while wet and letting it dry overnight, but I needed faster curls today.
