My first tip is to skip a lot of décor. An outdoor venue is the décor. We only added centerpieces and let the beautiful beach speak for itself. We also used a lot of what we had to keep rental costs down. There were already outdoor tables on site, I had a table and so did a friend of mine who also had a large tent so I only needed to rent chairs and a few tables. We also bought wine and beer wholesale and on sale from Total Wine and Costco. We did have a signature drink as well and no one was looking for something to drink. I also highly recommend smaller bottles of water and soda (if you're planning to have guests grab their own drinks) to avoid wasting half a bottle that will inevitably be left on tables during the reception.

There are so many ideas out there but be sure you stick to what is important to you.
