I found a template i liked online and they allowed me to have a pdf copy of it for free. i went on something called greetingsisland.

and then i just printed it on some cardstock and bought invitation envelopes from amazon.

My tip is to not do it lol...but seriously. Such a headache and truly not worth it when invitations are so cheap through places like Vistaprint and they offer 50% off sales all the time. DIYing invites can also be even more expensive than just purchasing because of the supply cost.

My mom has a cricut and pretty much made the template for our invites/rsvp/info cards (she does web design so she has a lot of experience with the programs). It wasn’t really costly money wise, we bought the paper, envelopes, doilies and twine to tie them for about $10 if I remember correctly.
BUT it was very time consuming. We looked at fonts and wording for hours. I love how the invites are coming along and I’m glad I got to choose 100% of what went in to them, but if you find some you like on the sites others are mentioning, definitely give it a go! I would not have gone the DIY route if my mother wasn’t basically doing it for me.

I second this- using Vistaprint was a breeze and very affordable. We were able to make 70 suites (invitations, RSVP cards, and matching envelopes) for only $110!
