diy Food-- Buffet?

Dana, on July 4, 2019 at 5:50 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10
Hey all! So I'm thinking about what type of food to serve? Our overall budget for the entire wedding ( honeymoon excluded) is $3200. Planning to have a mainly outdoor wedding at the local park. I want to hopefully make the majority of the food ourselves, with help of the family of course! Thinking of a buffet, but what foods should we include?? Hopefully the weather will hold up in May, so it won't be too warm.

Fried chicken, because it's good even when not hot. I'd have coolers for things liked diced fresh fruit and veggies. Hot dogs and hamburgers if you have someone who'd like to man the grill.

Hopefully not spending all of it! The most money I want to send is on the food! Since we'll have near 100 guests

You could have Italian, Mexican or BBQ catered in your budget and wouldn't have to worry about plates and utensils, set up clean up and trying to keep everything hot. By the time you get all your food and pans, foil, warmers plates, utensils, napkins, cups etc you will have spent enough to have it catered and served or drop off catering or a food truck for $1500 or less. You just have to take the time to look around. It can be done. Good luck
