diy Bridesmaid Proposal

Caylin, on June 5, 2019 at 4:51 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 20

I really want to make cute boxes for my girls Smiley smile I am stuck on what I should put in the boxes. If any of you have made your own boxes I'd love to see pics! I looked into buying them already made but some are just way too expensive. Would love to see some DIY projects.

I don't have any pics, but I made mine from the dollar store. I used metal garden tins as the basket/box. And I filled it with things like: nail polish, pocket planner, hair ties, candy, bath salts, etc.

I didn't propose to my bridesmaids but I wish I did after seeing people post their cute proposal boxes. However I did get them these hair ties and knot bracelets as part of their gifts that have a card along with them that say will you help me tie the knot?

    Our Proposal Boxes

Here is a link to ours! I spent about $15 per box. I went to Michaels with coupons & bought wood jewelry boxes and painted them. I bought liquor shooters $1, nail polish on clearance at Walmart $1, and the hair ties were around $1 per person on Amazon.

I don't have pictures but I got these boxes from amazon.

And I filled them with a mini champagne bottle and straw. (a starbucks frappachino bottle for one who doesn't drink) Face masks and a candle in my favorite scent, flannel, from bath and body works. And 2 homemade sugar cookies that I decorated, one ring and one with my wedding date. I also included a few cards that said Our Day (colors, date, location), Your Role (a cute poem about being by my side), Your Attire (dress selection or color and store, shoes, etc).

To be honest I can't remember how much I spent per person, but I did buy a group of items each pay check for about two months. Here are mine!

I really wish I had taken a picture of mine. But for each one I have them a mug that matches our theme, fuzzy socks, and a bunch of their favorite snacks and drinks. And with each one I wrote a card.

I included a mini champagne, a notepad and pen, and a zippered pouch that I sewed filled with chocolates, all wrapped in boxes I got from Target. I was really happy with how they turned out.

I made my own boxes! I bought them from hobby lobby and painted them gray (it did take a while) and put their names on top! I then got marble paper and printed the message on that and glued it to the rose gold paper. I got all the things inside from Etsy!

I got all the cedar boxes off of Wish for $1.50 each. Then I stained and painted. Inside each box is a small bottle of Bailey's, a gold bracelet with their first initial on the charm (also from Wish for $1 each), and a small box of chocolate truffles I g
