diy Bridal/groom Suite Decor

Hi all! So we are getting married this September at a Boy Scouts camp and we were curious if y’all would have some decor ideas for a DIY bridal and grooms suit. We are using two rooms in the main lodge, and these rooms are far from glamorous or in shape for picture taking! I will post some pictures to give an idea of the rooms - The camp caretaker is doing renovations to the interior, & of course going to clean it up and move things around after they finish, but it will still lack decordiy Bridal/groom Suite Decor 1

I would get some inexpensive backdrops and put against 1-2 walls maybe some balloons and inexpensive mirrors!

I would definitely look into getting mirrors for both rooms. If you are having hair and makeup done there, I would consider using high back chairs for you and your girls to sit. If the camp doesn't have any, I would rent a couple. The third photo is actually from my wedding and as you can see I'm sitting in a high back chair and the makeup artist was eye level with me which made applying makeup so much easier on her because she isn't forced to bend down or stand uncomfortably to do my makeup. Lighting looks like it could be an issue with both rooms which it's ideal. If the rooms don't have natural lighting that could make or break your photos. I would probably try to take some outdoor photos since the space isn't the most desirable. Would a couch be available to you? They make cute photos. I would probably set up the couch in front of the fireplace. There are companies that will rent a couch to you for your wedding if one isn't available. I would also try to have some close up photos that don't show much of the background. Does the camp have like a gaming area for like a pool table or anything like that? You could have the guys look like they are playing pool. Unfortunately, I think it might be difficult to make these rooms look cute because they weren't really designed to be that way. I think your best bet would as many outdoor photos as possible. Do you or your family live near where you are getting married because I would consider getting ready at someone's house rather than at the camp because as I mentioned lighting could be an issue. Without a lot of lightning your photos will look rather dark and gloomy.

I wanna come decorate!!! Honestly I think some table coverings, so soft lighting like string lights.. maybe do some accents on the slate all like a statement piece, or a photo background.

I decorated this (kinda icky) hall for my bffs baby shower and did a few “pop” walls like this. Balloons would be a pain for an wedding but you could use like curtains from the door store 🧐
Oh and the wood wall you see in the back is paper for a bulletin board I bought at michaels! diy Bridal/groom Suite Decor 19

You need maximum coverage without a ton of work. Maybe tension curtain rods and white curtains with some cheap floor length mirrors (check target or Walmart). You could use 3M wall stickies to hang mirrors and take down with no damage. I think I’d focus on making a couple of walls pretty and good for photos instead of the whole thing.

Definitely backdrops, mirrors, sheer curtains with some lights to bring up the brightness, and some flower wall backdrops. Balloons are very inexpensive and they have several packages cheaply in amazon, wish, ebay, offerup, and let go are a few for ideas.
