Kaleigh, on August 26, 2019 at 2:17 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12
Hey y’all! I’m not sure if this is the right forum or not but,

Does anyone know where I can get a decent amount of disposable cameras without breaking the bank?? I need them for our reception.

TIA!

I would check out Amazon or even Walmart. However, buying the cameras is usually not the expensive part; it is developing the film in the cameras that get's expensive and then the disappointment when the quality is horrible or there aren't any pics or inappropriate pics.

Everyone uses their cell phone cameras now and the quality of those pics is great. Some people use hashtags for easy sharing.

I googled and the cheapest I can find is at Walmart they sell a 2 pack of cameras for about $15. Just a heads up that you’ll pay around $15 per camera to develop them as well. They aren’t cheap or cost effective by any means.

I’m not so much worried about the quality of the photos as I am of having the “experience of the press” (UFC themed wedding. Everyone will have a press pass and there will be a camera on each table just for fun!) and Costco still does development pretty cheap. I’m not getting everyone a camera, but I think it’ll be fun for everyone there

Also just a heads up Costco stopped developing film a few years ago. I believe walgreens, cvs, and some Walmarts still do though.

I didn’t know people did this anymore. I had them at my first wedding nearly 15 years ago! We did get some really nice pictures from them, so I get why you would want to do it. Everyone has cameras on their phones now, so I think people are using different apps to collect pictures from their weddings. I’ve seen a couple different free apps that people can download and share their pictures with you and the other guests. It would probably be cheaper to do that and just print the pictures out off Shutterfly.

I love this idea! I wanted to do this, but the cost of developing the film was just too high for me, so instead I bought polorid cameras. Amazon is where I was looking to get mine from

I got ours on Ebay. 10 for 59.95 plus free shipping. Make sure you check the expiration date when you buy. I did custom covers for ours myself.

Before you decide on disposable cameras, just know that developing film isn't cheap like it used to be... you're going to spend a lot to get the pictures.

I plan on doing the same simply because everyone doesn't have the best camera quality on their phones or they aren't on social media. Plus my sister works at Walgreens so I can get a discount. If she isn't still working there, probably still want the pictures because developed regardless of the price.
