Who had/will be having an outdoor tent wedding?

Amy, on May 7, 2012 at 10:48 AM Posted in Planning 0 3

I am going over the seating chart (not sure if ill use it, but need to get an idea how many tables) and I'm not sure the tables will fit under the tent!

I'm getting a 30x60 frame tent and will need 16 round tables (seats 8)... that doesn't include my 15x15 dance floor, DJ table, our small table (not doing a head table), cake table.. gift/favor table.. I'm starting to get worried!

I put the chart together with 10 people per table and that brought it down to about 12 tables. Which would be perfect.. I just don't want it to be too crowded with 10 per table, but it might be my only option..... ideas, advice?

I am having one hex tent that is 30 x 40 and can fit 12 - 5 foot round tables that seat 8 per table and a head table of 4. Theres not a lot of room with the 12 tables so we got an extention of 20 x 20 for the entrance to have the gift table, cake table and buffet. Also have a small dance floor and room for the DJ to set up.

The rental coordinator drew up a scaled sketch and it comfortably fit 14 tables, so Im thinking Im just going to put 10 people at each. The tables are big enough, i just dont want it too crowded with 16+ tables and everything else going in there!

Your rental coordinator should be able to draw a layout for you. He or she should have done that prior to quoting your tent size to make sure you're renting exactly what you need.
