What sounds appetizing?

Adoretamm, on July 5, 2015 at 10:21 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

I'm looking over our venue packet once more and I'm not really feeling the menu choices on here. We made a deposit to do a taste test soon but I'm just not sure if this is the food I want to serve. What do you think? My sister said option #1 and a friend said #4. FH votes #1. I'm just not a mashed potato type girl

I like #3, but I'm partial to kabobs. #1 looks pretty good, too.

Number 4. You get two meat options which is great.

Is it possible to switch the mashed potatoes to rice for option 1?

@Natalie I was thinking that also. I'm going to ask the venue manager and see what she says.

I see the picture. I think Option #4 has the best variety of options. It definitely would give people a choice. Plus if you have any vegetarians there they would have more options to choose from. I didn't see a salad with option 1.

ETA: I also like option 3.

@Emily I don't think anyone coming is vegetarian but #4 is a good option for someone if they are!

Option #4 is a great option - I can also see if there is hesitancy (maybe its a reason your sister and FH suggested what they did) - as it is double the price of Option #1.

I think option 4 is the best because it gives people more of a choice.

I am partial to 2 because Italian sounds amazing, but 4 is probably best if you can afford it. Otherwise, 1 seems like a great deal. Did anyone else notice the "horse de vores?"

#3 or #4. But yeah, I can't take them seriously at all with the "horse de vores." Spelling is hard, but when they work in catering....eek.

I'd vote for #3 although I love mashed potatoes. None of the look like bad options though.

Number 4 sounds like a good variety, but I also loooove Italian, so number 2 with the chicken sounds good too.

My vote is for 3! It depends on what you want the feel of your wedding to be though. Some options seem a little more formal or casual

Adoretamm, You have some fantastic prices there (you're not a mashed potato girl? What's wrong with you, lady? The rest of us are addicted to that delicious combo of starch and carbs, lol). I'd go for option #4 (if it's in your budget -- I know it's more expensive that most of the other options). Second choice? Option #1. Grilled chicken breast (as long as it isn't dry) appeals to most people, and it comes with MASHED POTATOES AND BUTTER! Yay! I love Italian food too, but only if it's real Italian food made by someone who is sharing mama's secret Sunday dinner recipes.

As for the "horse de vorses"? Ouch. That's a huge mistake (it's like me writing "rozez" or"hidrenjia" on my website). Believe it or not, it has cost them business. Be a kind soul and point it out to them. Who knows...maybe they'll give you some free hors d'oeuvres for correcting their very silly error (on a more serious note, that would concern me. Do a tasting before you commit to anything).
