What kind of wedding band?

Nika, on August 10, 2010 at 8:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

This is one of my engagement rings (long story)...I'm not into jewelry much at all so I'm not sure what kind of wedding band would go with this. Yes that's my stubby little hand wearing it. Smiley smile

I think that you could do a simple band for the purpose of having a wedding band but you really dont need one. It would take away from the gorgeous ring of yours!

If you have to have one, go with a simple, plain, thin platinum/silver (Whatever your ring is made of) band. And I mean THIN!!!

Thank ya'll! I feel jipped! LMBO When I saw this ring I fell instantly in love. It's gorgeous and I love it and I'm still awestruck by it everytime I look at it. So now I feel jipped cuz I have to have a wedding band. LOL

For my wedding band, we're actually doing two, one on either side of the ring. Our jeweler is a family friend and he's going to shape them to frame the center diamond. They going to just be plain white gold bands, to not distract from the diamonds on the engagement ring. I think this idea would be great for your ring, since it's quite a focal point in itself.

I hope it helps. (: I think rings that have an obvious center are kind of wonky looking with an band, just because it doesn't fit. Since my ring has 2 princess cut diamonds, set at an angle, on either side of the circle cut in the middle, he talked us into doing two to keep the focus on the center diamond and on the princess cuts. I loved the ides of keeping all eyes on the center stone. You'll just have to check around for a jeweler who can do it for you.

I was going to suggest the same as Hannah... have a jeweler create one for you. I did that with mine because the band had unique carvings and it fits like a glove!
