What did you DIY? (or attempt to)

This weekend, I am going to attempt to DIY the bird cage for our cards. It's currently white but I want to spray paint it gold and add some ribbon and lace to it. We'll see how that turns out. What have you or will you be DIYing? Pictures are always welcomed!

Oh I did something similar to that for my pallet guestbook/board. But I handwrote freestyle my program board. I should have done what you did! It looks great!

Here's the tutorial for the tote bags: http://www.womansday.com/home/crafts-projects/how-to/a5469/diy-style-monogrammed-tote-113634/

I only really DIYed my table numbers. And regretted it the entire time I was working on them, but it was too late to turn back. I labeled them "good enough", but there must have been some wedding magic because the day of they looked amazing!

We're DIYing a ceremony venue. Haha! We live on a lake, and the empty lot next to us came up for sale. We've hauled in a bunch of rock for the shoreline and cut down roughly a billion ugly juniper trees (ha!). Dad's friend is supposed to be showing up with a trackhoe today to create the terraces - the hillside is super steep right now.

Our reception venue is pretty much DIY as well. We get the building, tables, chairs, and access to the kitchen and walk in coolers behind the bar.

We're doing DIY table decorations... There will be a piece of barn wood down the middle of each table with antlers scattered along it, and a few small tin buckets filled with baby's breath. We'll also do a few barn wood signs for the bar and buffet menu, and FH is going to make a backdrop for the head table.

I don't have a lot of pictures of my diy projects- really should have taken more pictures... but I did all my table numbers (pictured below), bar and bathroom signs (bar sign below), plus my seating chart. We blew up one of our engagement pictures and attached it to foam poster board. We had everyone's name on the picture side and their table number on the back. It was our most aggressive project- and one that I would do differently if I ever had to do it again.

We did a lot of signage on our own, my dad actually made our centerpiece stands, and hubby made his wedding band

There were some other things... such as the place cards, cutting the wine corks, table numbers, smaller signage

We also provided a lot, such as platters for the desert table, jars for candy, baskets for smaller things (flip flops)

I have several works in progress:

    Bouquets

    Cardbox

    Table Numbers

    Jumping Broom

    Favors

    Headpiece

They are all fairly simple projects. I just haven't had the time to finish them. The goal is to be done by Oct 29.
