Wedding day hair with an out of town stylist

Lauren, on September 4, 2011 at 12:16 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Ok girls, so I am having my wedding in my hometown which is about 2.5 hrs from where I live now. I love the girl that does my hair now, and would love for her to do my wedding day hair as well as my bridesmaids (only 3 of them), but I know she does alot of business on Saturdays and I am not sure how much I should offer to pay her to come and do my hair on the day of the wedding. I have really thin, fine hair and I am afraid to hire someone new to do it and I don't have a lot of time to go to my hometown for trials so it would be easier to do them where I live now. I should also add that my stylist also hasn't ever traveled that far to do wedding hair so she is not sure how much to charge me also. She says she is going to ask around, I just wanted to get a number in my head that people would pay. Thanks!

    Well,

    5 hrs of gas money

she'd basically be losing an entire day's worth of work, so I would say at least equal to what she might of made (i.e., she charges $50 a cut, 6 clients in a day=$300)

Is she going to do you bms hair as well? maybe you can work out a deal with her to do all of their hair and just charge you what you usually pay her

Well I'm paying $100/hair style and $100/makeup. My 3 bridesmaids are $155 ea. for hair/makeup. For just hair for the bridal party its $85. I think her travel fee is an additional $50 or $100. Just to give you an idea, I hope it helps!
